This year's GTLF will continue its celebration of world literature in poetry, prose and spoken word. With the success of last year's festival, which attracted close to 1,000 people and with all 20 events being completely packed out, we are confident that this festival will grow from strength to strength and become a festival that writers and audiences will continue to support in the years to come.

The theme of this year's festival is The Ties that Bind, which will look at how writers deal with writing and hope, love, land, loss, memory and history.
